                ปี ค.ศ. 1961 คอกเตอร์ ดีเอช สมิท จากโรงพยาบาล วิลเลี่ยมตันในเซ้าท์คาร์โรไลนา ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาได้ รักษาผู้ป่วยโดยใช้โพลิลิสปอร์ตกับคนไข้ 97 รายในนี้ 10 รายเป็นโรคไขข้ออักเสบ พบว่าอาการปวดดีขึ้นภายใน 2เดือนทุกราย การเคลื่อนไหวร่างกายดีขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด ซึ่งทําให้สามารถลดการักษาวิธีอื่นลงได้ 

Amelioration of the symptoms of Osteoarthritis

                As early as 1961, Dr. D.H. Smith of the Williamston Hospital in South Carolina, U.S.A. was treating large numbers of patients with Pollisport Among the 97 cases described by him there were 10 patients with osteoarthritis. Pain was significantly improved within 2 months in every case, and movement significantly increased. A variety of other treatments could be reduced (17).
